College of Medicine
The College of Medicine is committed to Catholic ideals; as part of this commitment, we aim to train compassionate health care professionals who make the patient feel at ease. From the beginning, the College has been offering programs in nursing, public health, and clinical psychology. These programs are available at both the undergraduate and master’s levels.
In 2004, the College established the Department of Occupational Therapy, the Graduate Institute of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Science, and the Department of Respiratory Therapy. In response to the latest social and technological developments, we have recently established the MS Program in Transdisciplinary Long-Term Care, the Master’s Program of Big Data in Biomedicine, the PhD Program in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, and the Bachelor Degree Program of Long-Term Care and Health Management.
We are the only Catholic medical college in the Chinese-speaking world and one of only three medical colleges within a comprehensive university in Taiwan.
Educational Goals
The College of Medicine strives to train world-class medical and healthcare professionals who respect life, provide enthusiastic service, view things from a holistic perspective, learn actively, and possess the latest medical knowledge and skills.
