College of Education and Sports Health

Overview of Programs

The College of Education began its journey in October 2001, when the proposal to establish the college was submitted by the Board of Trustees during its 7th meeting. After several years of preparation, the Ministry of Education officially approved the establishment of the "College of Education" in July 2010, and it was formally inaugurated on August 1, 2010.
In alignment with the strategic development focus of our institution, which includes elements such as educational technology, sports, and health promotion, we received formal approval from the Ministry of Education in July 2024 to officially rename the college to the "College of Education and Sports Health," effective August 1st, 2024.

Our college encompasses the following departments:

The Department of Physical Education has been offering undergraduate programs since 1969, with its first master’s and in-service master’s programs established in 1999. In 2003, the undergraduate program was divided into three modules: physical education, athletics, and sports and health management.

The Department of Library Science was founded in 1970 and was later renamed the Department of Library and Information Science in 1992. Its master’s program was established in 1994.

The Center of Teacher Education was established in 1996.

The Graduate Institute of Educational Leadership and Development was established in 2000, with an in-service program following two years later.

The Bachelor Program of Sport Recreation Management was established in 2010 and is offered through the School of Continuing Education.
